GCAAR holds education classes at GCAAR's Silver Spring office or the ASAE Conference Center. Classes may occasionally be held at additional locations not listed here due to space or scheduling restrictions. Always look closely at the class listings to be sure of the location of the class.

From 495:
8757 Georgia Avenue is located approximately one mile inside the Capital Beltway. From 495, take Route 97 South, Georgia Avenue exit (Number 31) towards Silver Spring. After approximately one mile, take a left on Spring Street. Shortly after turning onto Spring Street you will see a public parking garage on your right (behind The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission office, which is located at the intersection of Spring Street and Georgia Avenue). Park in the long-term parking areas. The meters for long-term parking are silver and you will need $4 in quarters to park all day.
8757 is connected to a Crowne Plaza. There are two easy ways to reach GCAAR's office from the parking lot. You can walk up the driveway to the right of the Crowne Plaza and turn left on Georgia Avenue to enter 8757. GCAAR's offices are located on the sixth floor.
Or you may walk through the Crowne Plaza to the front of the building. You can enter the back of the hotel through glass doors marked "Hotel Entrance." Enter the hotel and walk through the hotel and turn left on Georgia Avenue to enter 8757. GCAAR's offices are located on the sixth floor.
From Washington, DC:
One of the easy ways to reach GCAAR's office from Washington, DC is via 16th Street. Go north on 16th Street, passing Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Bear right on Alaska Avenue Northwest until it ends at Georgia Avenue at the District line. Bear left on Georgia Avenue. Continue north until you pass Colesville Road and then Cameron Street. Take a right on Spring Street. Shortly after turning onto Spring Street you will see a public parking garage on your right (behind The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission office, which is located at the intersection of Spring Street and Georgia Avenue). By Metro:
Take the Red Line to Silver Spring. GCAAR's office is a few blocks from the Silver Spring Metro Station. Exit the station and continue forward to the light. Go left at the light, crossing Colesville Road. Continue up Second Avenue. At the light, go right onto Cameron. At the next light, cross Georgia Avenue, 8757 Georgia Avenue will be to the left. GCAAR's offices are located on the sixth floor.

Our District of Columbia office is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to Noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m.
The offices are located three blocks away from the U.S. Capitol.
By Metro:
Take the red line to Union Station or Judiciary Square.
- From Union Station: Walk a short distance west on Massachusetts Avenue. Turn left on F Street and walk approximately one block west. Take a left after crossing F Street. Building in on the right. Total walking is 0.24 miles.
- From Judiciary Square (4th St. exit): Take a left as you exit the Metro station. You will be on D Street. Walk three blocks. Turn left at New Jersey Avenue. Walk one block north. Building is on the left. Total walking time is 0.33 miles.
Driving from Alexandria/Arlington:
Take George Washington Parkway. Exit on I-395 North to Washington. Follow signs to U.S. Capitol. At tunnel, take first exit, U.S. Capitol/D Street NW. Proceed to first light (D Street), turn right and go to second traffic light. Building is on the left.
Driving from Maryland:
Two options are easiest:
- Take I-495 to GW Parkway and follow directions from Alexandria/Arlington after that point.
- From Silver Spring or points northwest: Take Georgia Avenue south. Turn left onto Missouri Avenue NW. Turn right at N. Capitol Street NW. Turn right onto E Street NW. Turn left onto New Jersey Avenue NW. Building is on the right (corner of E Street NW & New Jersey Avenue NW).
Driving from I-66 & Points South:
Follow I-66 East to Washington. Cross the Roosevelt Bridge. Follow signs to Constitution Avenue toward the U.S. Capitol. Proceed approximately 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Louisiana Avenue NW. Travel to the third light. Turn left on New Jersey Avenue. Building is on the left.
From other parts of DC:
There are numerous ways to get to New Jersey Avenue from other parts of the District. Here are the two most common ways:
- Get on U Street NW going east. U Street becomes Florida Avenue NW. Turn right onto N. Capitol Street NW. Turn right onto E Street NW. Turn left onto New Jersey Avenue NW. Building is on the right (corner of E Street NW & New Jersey Avenue NW).
- Get on Pennsylvania Avenue NW going east. Turn left onto Louisiana Avenue NW. Proceed a few blocks north. Building is on the right (corner of E Street NW & New Jersey Avenue NW).
1575 I (Eye) St., NW, Washington, DC
Take the Blue/Orange line of Metro to McPhearson Square. Take the Vermont Ave./White House exit. You will be at the corner of Vermont Ave & I (Eye) St. Cross I (Eye) St. and walk to your left. You will be able to see the ASAE building from the metro exit.
