How to Upgrade Your Netscape Browser
(Note: Netscape 7.1 is recommended for users with 64MB of RAM on Windows 98 or higher. See full system requirements for more information.)
- Go to Netscape website - www.netscape.com
- Locate and click on the link to Netscape 7.1 or higher numbered browser, usually on left hand side.
- On the next page, click on the red Free Download button
- On the next page, click the red Download Now button (Note: Below the button are links for Offline Installer and Installation Instructions if needed.)
- Save the file to your Local Disk C
- When Download is complete, close all windows and Netscape browsers.
- Double-click on My Computer, Double-click on the Local Disk C. Find the "NSSetup.exe" file you saved, and double-click on the file.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
How to Upgrade Internet Explorer
Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows XP
- Go to the Microsoft site - www.microsoft.com
- On the left-hand side of the Microsoft home page, under the Resources section, click on Downloads.
- The Most Popular Downloads appear. Locate and click on Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1.
- The Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 page opens. On the right-hand side of the page, click the Download button.
- Save the file to disk (Note the location where it is being saved. It is suggested to save to the local disk C, not in a folder such as My Documents).
- After the file is saved, close all windows and programs including Internet Explorer.
- Open My Computer, locate the file you saved (ie6setup.exe), and double-click on the file.
- Follow instructions given during installation. You will need to restart your computer after the installation.
