Have you heard about the GCAAR Cares Emergency Relief Fund?

Since 2020, it’s helped scores of GCAAR members through difficult times by providing eligible individuals experiencing hardship with up to $3,000 in assistance. Our members’ situations have ranged from family emergencies or a death in the immediate family to extraordinary health or medical expenses or difficulties as the result of a natural disaster.

Created in response to the global pandemic, we initially set out to provide assistance to GCAAR primary REALTOR® and affiliate members whose health and well-being were directly affected by Covid. We later expanded the program to apply more broadly to situations beyond Covid. Run by an outside entity to ensure confidentiality, the program has made a profound difference in the lives of GCAAR members in just a few short years.

This summer, we joined forces with a new organization, the Emergency Assistance Foundation (EAF), to independently administer our Emergency Relief Fund. The EAF offers a comprehensive website, which also features an FAQ outlining the types of situations that may qualify for a grant.
